PRESTA SOUTH BOHEMIA

PRESTA award - prestigious construction, is held every two years and is granted by The Czech Union of civil engineers, Czech Chamber of architects, Czech Chamber of authorized engineers and technicians and Union of businessmen in civil engineering. KOČÍ company has scored the points at the exhibition of constructions PRESTA SOUTH BOHEMIA a couple of times!

In 2002 KOČÍ company was awarded by PRESTA (prestigious construction in South Bohemia) in the category Civil and industrial constructions and lately erected buildings for the completion of Physical training facilities and teaching spaces in Gymnázium Písek. The board of specialists mention in the acknowledgement: “This significantly formed construction has been built in sensitively into the environment of urban inner block and it achieved stylishly clear up-to-date architectural impression which exceeded significantly the regional frame by witty combination of materials and natural material surfaces as well as resourceful architectural details and quality of crafts process.”

Biennale for 2003-2004 meant further success for KOČÍ a.s.: they were honoured by PRESTA in category Residential houses, housing units and houses with homecare service for Multifunctional residential area in Čížová. The board of specialists appreciated it as “the important achievement in urban and materialistically significant constructions”.

At present KOČÍ a.s. is excitingly waiting the record of the biennale PRESTA SOUTH BOHEMIA 2005-2006. The company has entered the competition with an extraordinary new construction of an assembly hall of Alfa company with the annexed administrative building, circulation areas, parking areas and utility services. The factory construction was inspired by the “golden age” of industrial architecture and the atmosphere of the world exhibitions between 19th and 20th centuries. However, the design is rather modern, cascade-articulated, fully fenestrated, open to the landscape and light. KOČÍ a.s. used number of non-traditional technological methods difficult in excellent craft work. The construction has got ecological heating by thermal pumps, which is worth mentioning. We believe that our construction of the year 2006, the assembly hall ALFA, will become “alpha and omega” of granting the prestigious construction of our region this year, the region where we live and which we work for.
